I have never visited My Chock Dee Oriental Market during the week but if you want to beat the crowds and find a parking spot you better be in line y 11am for the fresh food- hot off the stove, oven or grill! Our family favorites are the pork on a stick, pancit and lumpias. People from all over eat, shop and order for family gatherings. The pork on a stick will sell out by 1pm so order that first. No complaints ever. It is a to go restaurant and Asian market.

I heard about M.Y. Chock Dee from a nurse i spoke with a hospital. She was a blessing in disguise for recommending it. I was excited to introduce my family to filipino food, and M.Y Chock Dee was the perfect place for this! The market is great and has all the snacks i love, as well as a ton of great treats from the bakery section. The service is super friendly. Super helpful too! We ordered a bunch of items and ate inside, there is a lot of table and chairs. For what it is, its very clean and a great place to eat. The food was all hot and fresh, and packed with flavor. My family has been back several times sine we visited. It was that good!

I saw this on Texas Eats and was determined to give it a try. The service was excellent, and the location was great--right next to Gather Brewery. I can't believe we were so close all this time and never thought to check it out. The owner was friendly, the Singapore noodles were delicious, and the pork belly was tasty. Definitely glad I tried it...once!

We were watching an episode of Texas Eats, and it was featuring MY Chockdee Oriental Market in Universal City. In all our time here, I've heard of them but never visited. So today was the day to check them out. There's a market portion of the store, and a restaurant/food portion where you can order food combos and some seating available. We had lunch there today. Hubby ordered the #1 Adobo Combo with garlic rice, pancit, veggies, adobo, and lumpia. I ordered the #8 Combo with longanisa, lumpia, garlic rice, pancit, and veggies. We also had 1 BBQ stick, lechon, and the ginata. Lumpia had a lot of meat in them and was crispy. The lechon was perfect! The chicken in the pancit was on the dry side. The best was the turon with langka, which was a banana lumpia with jackfruit drizzled with sugar. We didn't shop too much in the market section since there were many people in the store and there were lines forming both for the food and for the market. The busyness of this place reminded my husband of the Philippines.

Cute little filipino store with groceries and they have fresh food in the back of the store! They have signs on the front window about buffets and it was super cheap! I asked the guy about it and he said they only have combos, no more buffet. Not too sure if they stopped doing it completely or for just that day. The food is amazing! Freshly made and super flavorful. It's fairly decent priced too. They have combos where you choose your main dish and the plate comes with rice, bok choy, eggplants, rice and pancit. They hook it up with the pancit and this is probably my favorite pancit I've ever had!! They also have 6 pieces of fried chicken for $6.99. Which is a steal! Plus it was so juicy and the batter was nice and crispy. Only thing to add is beware of the dinguan, it does have a lot of small pieces of bones.
